I went to see Mono Puff
at Maxwell's in Hoboken, NJ on 11/7/98.
Before the show I found Hal Cragin and stagehand Rick Rivera. They
are cool guys!
The first band was Kate Jacobs, accompanied by a drummer, bassist
& guitarist. They were pretty good.
After Kate we were treated to Of Montreal, which is now a 5-piece
band. They were also pretty cool.
Mono Puff came on shortly after, and rocked the house!
John Flansburgh did not wear his glasses for much of the set. He
explained that he just got a new pair that looked exactly like the old
ones, but they wouldn't stay on his face while he played.
Above, DJ ***** Phil Hernandez. Below, you can just barely make
out Steve Calhoon on the drums. My kingdom for a flash!
Dan Miller looked like he had a great time!
Hal Cragin, the ace of bass. I like Danny Weinkauf, but I'm glad
to see Hal is back!
Sugar Puff is as sweet as her name implies.
Lady Puff makes the coolest faces.
